Snowpack is Live on the App Store

Snowpack is officially on the App Store. Here’s a quick introduction to the app I’ve been building to help you find the best snow, track your days, and meet people at the mountains you ride.

It’s official. Snowpack is on the App Store!

What started as an idea for myself and a few friends is now something you can download and take to the mountain.

If we haven’t met, I’m Patrick. Over the years, I’ve used different apps to check conditions and track my sessions, but I kept thinking about building something that brought those things together with a community around each resort. Eventually, I decided to give it a shot.

Snowpack is built around three things: finding the best snow, tracking your days on the mountain, and connecting with the people who ski and ride there.

The weather helps you figure out where to go. Tracking gives you a way to look back at your day. And the community is where I’m hoping things get interesting.

I’ve skied solo more times than I can count. Friends get busy, plans fall through, and sometimes you’re the only one willing to make the drive. With resort feeds, I want to make it easier to share conditions, trade mountain tips, find someone to take a few laps with, or talk a little smack about lift lines.

There’s plenty I want to improve and build from here. If you give Snowpack a try, tell me what you like, what’s frustrating, and what would make it more useful on your next trip.

You can find Snowpack on the App Store. Thanks for being here at the beginning, and hopefully I’ll see some of you on the mountain.
